Attorney Christina Gill Roseman Speaking on Pennsylvania Unfair Trade Law

Christina Gill Roseman of Roseman Law Firm will be a speaker on the Pennsylvania Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law on February 20, 2020. The program is being presented by the Allegheny County Bar Association Civil Litigation Section. Ms. Roseman will be joined by the Honorable Alan Hertzberg, Kenneth Behrend, Thomas Gebler, Vicki Horne and James Marrion as speakers.

The Pennsylvania Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law is statute designed to prevent deceptive business practices against consumers. The Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law provides for recovery of actual damages for violations, as well as treble or triple damages and attorneys’ fees. Claims under this statute can be brought up to six years after the violation, as opposed to only two years for fraud claims. The Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law can be used against a wide number of deceptive acts, and Ms. Roseman uses the law in her practice against car dealerships and manufacturers who misrepresented the condition of vehicles at sale or refused to repair vehicles under warranty.

Ms. Roseman is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Civil Litigation Section Council and is co-chair of the Allegheny County Bar Association Court Rules Committee. She is a nationally recognized speaker on automobile fraud. Ms. Roseman focuses her practice on Lemon Law and fighting for consumers against automobile fraud.
