Is Your 2017 Ford Focus Not Starting? You are Not Alone.

The ignition on a number of 2017 Ford Focus vehicles are not starting. This is an intermittent problem that seems to begin around 4000 or 5000 miles on the odometer. These vehicles have failed to start even with all lights and electronic components shut off, while stored in a garage and when not in subjected to extremely cold temperatures. No fix for this issue has been found by Ford yet.

If your 2017 Ford Focus is not starting when all lights and electronics were off and the vehicle was not in extremely cold temperatures, you should take the vehicle to a Ford dealership for service. Instead of jump-starting the vehicle, you can call Ford roadside assistance to tow the vehicle to a dealership. Having the vehicle towed instead of jump-starting it leaves it in the same condition in which the failure occurred, which may provide useful information to the technicians to track down the problem. It is also a good idea to document each time the car does not start with a short cell phone video or picture.

Keep in mind, even if the dealership does not find a problem when you take the car in, that visit still counts as a repair attempt if you can show that the problem was happening through pictures or video or if the problem is confirmed on a later service visit. If a Ford dealership cannot fix the problem after 30 days or 3 repair attempts, contact Roseman Law Firm at 1-800-745-5259 or www.helpforlemoncars.com for free consultation to see if you have a Lemon Law case.
