Ford issues expands airbag recall for U.S. vehicles

The recent report from Ford garnered headlines across the nation. The automaker said it is recalling more than 953,000 vehicles worldwide to replace Takata passenger air bag inflators. The iconic vehicle manufacturer said the air bag inflators can explode and hurl dangerous shrapnel.

Recall for Ford Fusion and Escape for Rollaway Risk

Ford recently announced a recall for over 500,000 Escape and Fusion vehicles for rollaway concerns.  The affected vehicles include the 2013 and 2014 Ford Escape and 2013 through 2016 Ford Fusion.  Ford discovered that a bushing that attaches to the shifter cable can degrade and detach.  When the shifter cable bushing detaches, the vehicle may not be in the gear showing on the gear selector.
